Blindspot will reward viewers for weathering the summer hiatus with on of the biggest bombshells to date.

In true Blindspot fashion, the season finale left fans with more questions than answers. Much like Quantico, however, the NBC series has joined the trend doling out the truth sooner rather than later, and the premiere will deliver major pay dirt.

Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) isn't Taylor Shaw, but you will find out her true identity as soon as season 2 gets underway.

"That's not going to be a mystery next season," series creator Martin Gero told TV Line. "You're going to find out exactly who she is in the first episode of next season, so it's not like we needed that for additional mystery."

Jane's identity won't be the only one exposed in the season opener. In an effort to get all the characters on the same page, Reed (Rob Brown), Zapata (Audrey Esparza), and Patterson (Ashley Johnson) will reveal the contents of their mysterious junk drive, and, in doing so, will clue Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and Jane in on the Orion backstory

"You're going to find out who Shepherd is and what Orion is in the first episode of Season 2," Gero teased, according to TV Guide. "Shepherd is vastly important in Season 2."
