Buckwild has been cancelled by MTV following the recent death of Shain Gandee.
There has been speculation as to whether the show will be cancelled after the sudden tragic death of the 21-year-old, but it seems MTV decided to pull the plug on the show and production has been stopped halfway through filming the second season.

Gandee was found dead with two others on April 1. They died in a car from carbon monoxide poisoning.

MTV has not released an official statement on the cancellation as of yet but is expected to make a statement on April 10.

Despite four episodes of the second season of the hit show being filmed, MTV is not expected to air them.
Gandee, his uncle David Gandee, and friend Robert Myers tragically died after going off-roading in a Ford Bronco.
Gandee, who was given the nickname "Gandee Candy" for his sunny disposition, was one of the most popular members on the show, which is in its first season. The show was recently approved to air a second season, according to MTV.

MTV had released a statement about the sudden loss of Gandee.

"We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends."
MTV added, "Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."
