Although Law & Order: Criminal Intent stopped filming almost two years ago, actress Kathryn Erbe will once again be returning to play a part on this season's Law & Order: SVU.

Executive producer Warren Leight recently spoke to TVLine, saying that Erbe, who will reprise her role as Alexandra Eames, will be on the program to assist Fin Tutuola (Ice-T) when a narcotics officer from the past abruptly shows up and starts trouble.

"He said, 'I saw that Rollins-and-her-sister episode, the fans really like it when we're in harm's way. And don't forget, I used to be a narcotics officer. There's got to be a lot of people who want me dead," he said.

This will mark Erbe's second appearance on SVU during the current season. She had previously played a role in Acceptable Loss, where her character was leading a New York City-Federal Homeland Task Force that resulted in the removal of the team off a sex trafficking case due to its terrorism ties.

Rap artist 2 Chainz also makes an appearance in the episode as "someone Fin dealt with in the past. There's a lot of bad blood from Fin's past involved in it," Leight explains.

Also scheduled to play roles are Sons of Anarchy's Emilio Rivera, Magic City's Yul Vasquez, and Raging Bull's Cathy Moriarty.
