'Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Finale: Select Characters Set To Enroll At College While Others May Move Away, Details & VIDEO
While many fans are surely looking forward to the April 18 return of CW's Vampire Diaries, the latest news to come out of Mystic Falls is actually related to its season finale.
Executive producer Julie Plec recently addressed how the popular series will move forward beyond season 4 by dishing on some of the scenarios that will come up to TVLine.
"There's going to be a lot of questions about 'Who am I? What am I going to do with my life? What am I meant to be? Where am I meant to go?" Plec said.
"All of our characters will be faced with that question as they make a decision about whether to stay or go, go to college, travel the world, break up, stay together. A lot of big, important life decisions as we say goodbye to the high school chapter of the show," she added.
Plec, who hasn't been shy about giving out certain spoilers on the series, also informed TV Guide that some of the cast will be enrolling at Whitmore College, the site of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena's (Nina Dobrev) blood-motivated dirty dancing celebration.
Interesting to note, the EP also told the TV site that a few of the other cast members may leave Mystic Falls altogether.
Next up for The Vampire Diaries will be its Pictures of You episode, which will be airing on Thursday, April 18 at 8 p.m. EDT. A trailer for the upcoming episode can be viewed below.
