Agent Carter season 3 would have been the season of family drama.

The ABC series was mowed down like a Kappa Kappa Tau sorority sister during the network's bloody upfronts, but that doesn't mean the Agent Carter writing team wasn't already spitballing ideas for Peggy's (Hayley Atwell) next adventure. Thanks to Atwell's MegaCon appearance, fanfiction writers can dive into the would-have could-haves of the doomed run.

"There was talk of season 3 going further back in her past, [maybe] a possible twist I suppose into the family," Atwell told fans, according to Monkeys Fighting Robots. "They suggested more like it would have to do more with my brother."

Atwell is currently in line to star in Conviction, but, if the actress has anything to say about it, the Michael story line will come into play when Agent Carter snags a spot on Netflix (don't we wish!). The Brit is all for keeping Peggy and her pals in the mix, even if she had to film on the weekends.

If only. As it stands, seeing another season (or movie) with the SSR agent and founder of SHIELD is about as likely as ABC ever moving forward with any iteration of Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and Bobbi Morse's (Adrianne Palicki) Marvel's Most Wanted. Marvel is winning the race when it comes to devising an interconnected cinematic universe, but DC is dominating primetime. Do you think Agent Carter will rise from the ashes?
