'Dancing With the Stars' 2016: Antonio Brown Admits Show Has 'Helped' Him On The Field [VIDEO]
Antonio Brown may prove to be an even better NFL player after his experience on Dancing With the Stars.
Brown competed in this spring's season of Dancing With the Stars, making it all the way to the semifinals with his partner, Sharna Burgess. The NFL player was one of the more talented celebs in the competition, frequently receiving high scores.
Now, Brown is saying that Dancing With the Stars may have actually helped him with his footwork on the field.
"I felt pretty good today, actually, my feet, I'm in shape, running my routes and dropping my hips. I still have work to do on my finishes, but that will come," he said in a new NFL.com interview. "For the most part, I'm feeling good and can transition out of my breaks. ... I don't want to say [DWTS] made me faster, but I feel like it has helped me a lot with my shock absorbers. I've been able to drop my hips and get on the ball of my foot."
Brown plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers and has racked up several key achievements in his career, including AFC Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 and Pittsburgh Steelers MVP in 2011, 2013 and 2015.
Brown was one of three celebrities on Dancing With the Stars that came from the NFL. Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller and retired NFL star Doug Flutie competed with Brown and the other celebs, but were both eliminated at about the midway point.
The season ultimately featured a final three of Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas and Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy, who placed in first, second and third, respectively.
Dancing With the Stars season 23 begins this fall Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
