He is desperate to prove he is innocent and did not murder Constance Bingham despite what was allegedly written in Sage's journal, and his desperation could cause Adam (Justin Hartley) to make a shocking and potentially life-altering move on The Young and the Restless.

He is convinced his father, Victor (Eric Braden) somehow arranged for him to be framed for a murder he didn't commit even from behind bars in prison, as revenge for outing his plan to use the prison doctor as a way to escape and get out early. And with his brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow) unwilling to help him since he doesn't know who to believe, Adam will feel he has no choice but to get a confession out of Victor, and knows the only way to get one would be through the only other person on the inside of the prison, Ian Ward (Ray Wise).

"My visitor will be here soon, and this showdown is long overdue," Ian gloats to a guard in a preview clip for the Friday, June 3 episode.

Adam and Ian will strike a deal where Ian will try to get Victor to admit to setting his son up, but it still could take some time before he even has any success. Because of that, Adam will still need to do whatever he can to convince Nick to have Constance's body exhumed, for another look to see if foul play was something that could be considered when it came to her death.

He and Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) will ask Sharon (Sharon Case) for help in convincing Nick to do the right thing for Adam, but when Nick finds out, it could make him angrier and more unwilling to help his brother than ever before, and it will dawn on Adam that Nick now believes his also being put behind bars may just be what's best for everyone.

"You think if Victor wind, and I go to prison, that this whole thing is over? That's what you think?" Adam asks in the clip.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
