More details have surfaced on CBS' How I Met Your Mother's highly anticipated season 8 finale, which is titled Something Old.

Carter Matt is reporting that the planning process for Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin's (Cobie Smulders) wedding will result in sheer procrastination, as last minute arrangements will have to be made.

"Robin is desperate to find her 'something old' she buried in Central Park years earlier for the wedding. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily ask for Ted's help packing for Italy, and Barney bonds with Robin, Sr."

The site suspects that due to the Marshall (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) plotline for the episode, it appears as though Hannigan's character will be accepting the offer to bid adieu to New York for a year in Rome.

However, there's still a considerable amount of time left for the characters to reconsider.

In other HIMYM news, the site recently stated that neither John Lithgow (Barney's father) or Wayne Brady (Barney's half-brother) will be guest starring in any of the remaining episodes this season. However, it was said that actress Francis Conroy (Barney's mother) will indeed be back for the season's final showing.

While Conroy has had her hands full with American Horror Story and an upcoming appearance on Royal Pains, she still managed to squeeze in time for HIMYM nonetheless.

Also set to appear in the finale is actor Ralph Macchio, who will be playing the part of himself.

Despite there being only a few episodes left on the current season, it's not farfetched to think that other notable actors will be signed on to guest star as well.

Next up for CBS' How I Met Your Mother is its Romeward Bound episode, which will be airing on Monday, April 15. Something Old will be airing on May 6.
