Ellen Degeneres, Portia De Rossi Don't Want Kids: 'I’ve Never Been Happier Than I Am Right Now,' Rossi Says [VIDEO]
In a recent interview, actress Portia de Rossi talked about her career and her marriage to Ellen DeGeneres, claiming they don’t plan to have children.
The 40-year-old said her life with Degeneres is drama-free, and she wants to keep it that way.
“We’ve settled into happily married life,” the Arrested Development star said, according to Out magazine. “We really support each other in whatever we’re doing and we’re incredibly happy, which is why you don’t see us in the press so much. There’s no drama to report.”
While de Rossi said there’s some pressure about having kids, particularly at her age, she is trying to be honest with herself about what's important to her.
“You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did," said de Rossi, based on the report. “So it’s just going to be me and Ellen and no babies — but we’re the best of friends and married life is blissful, it really is. I’ve never been happier than I am right now.”
The couple was married at a small, private ceremony at their home on August 16, 2008. Despite the passing of Proposition 8, they remain legally married by a Supreme Court judgment because their vows occurred before November 4, 2008.
