CW's Vampire Diaries is now less than two weeks away from airing its highly anticipated spinoff The Originals on April 25. To commemorate the franchise's newest launch, the CW network has put out a new promotional poster on the backdoor pilot.

The poster features Rebekah (Claire Holt), Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). In the poster, the four cast members are standing near each other with the middle of it reading: "In New Orleans, the air is thick with blood."

The upcoming Originals spinoff will be taking place in New Orleans, as Entertainment Weekly had stated that Klaus would be making the trek there from Mystic Falls in order to find out who is "plotting against him."

While back in the New Orleans area, Klaus will run into Marcel, who is his "diabolical former protégé" that he created when the respective city was still being constructed, according to iDigital Times. Marcel is now the leader of a "supernatural community" in the area.

The site also reported that the episode would feature several brand new characters such as a potential love interest for Klaus named Cami. Although the poster doesn't show Hayley, the werewolf may have family in New Orleans, so she will more than likely be on the series as well.

The Vampire Diaries backdoor pilot will be airing on Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. on the CW network. A previous cast discussion on The Originals can be viewed below.
