Jason DiLaurentis is in for one heck of an awkward family reunion.

Alison's (Sasah Pieterse) brother will return to Rosewood in season 7, only to find that his family has suddenly grown by one scheming aunt. Jason's (Drew Van Acker) return was announced during the spring, but we are only just finding out which episode's been earmarked for some DiLaurentis drama.

"Drew Van Acker will reprise his role as Jason DiLaurentis in the seventh episode of season 7," Entertainment Weekly reported on Monday.

If the entire Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) fiasco wasn't awkward enough, Jessica's kids will make a run at normalcy with a family dinner. The fact that their dining with their mother's double will give their white-picket fence farce a decidedly Twilight Zone feel.

"There's going to be a very awkward family dinner with his aunt and his sister coming up soon," series creator Marlene King told Entertainment Weekly back in March.

In other words, by time episode 7 rolls around, Mary's identity will presumably be out in the open and Ali will be back in the real world. Jason's return does not bode well for the Carissimi Group, however. Elliot (Huw Collins) and Ms. Drake are after Charlotte's fortune, and Alison's elder brother is the last line of defense.

"The Carissimi Group, we know, was a very well-funded organization that Charlotte used to fund her 'A'-ness. In the finale, Elliot says to Alison, 'Charlotte would be really thrilled with the work you're doing,' because Jason and Alison have turned the Carissimi Group into a non-profit to help people," King told The Hollywood Reporter. "What appears at the end of the episode is Elliot and Mary want control of the Carissimi Group, which is why they drove Alison crazy. She had to sign over all her free will when she went to the mental hospital."

Find out if Jason will be bowled over by Mary and Elliot's sinister machinations when Pretty Little Liars returns to Freeform on June 21. Click the video below to see a preview.
