'Dexter' Season 8 Spoilers: Deb To Turn On Dexter In Upcoming Season? Hannah Returning [VIDEO]
Showtime's Dexter will be making its return for an eighth season in June, however, the vigilante serial killer may be finding himself in a mess that not even he may be able to escape from, since he barely got past LaGuerta (Lauren Velez).
In season 7 Dexter's (Michael C. Hall) sister Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) was a rock in a hard place, forced to shoot LaGuerta in order to keep her brother's dark passenger and freedom intact. Debra isn't having the easiest of times staying tight-lipped onto Dexter's ongoing secret, and she's previously tried to help him change his slaying ways to no avail.
Judging by the season 8 promo trailer, it appears as though Debra is now regretting her actions toward the late LaGuerta, saying, "I shot the wrong person in that trailer. I thought I needed you; it was the other way around."
Dexter replies with, "A better person would feel badly about LaGuerta's death. The truth is it solved all my problems."
The blood spatter analyst also goes on to say, "I'm about to lose control and the only thing I know for sure is that it isn't going to be pretty."
The intense drama of the series won't stop there, as killer florist and Dexter love interest, Yvonne Strahovski (Hannah McKay), is set to return. McKay, who is mostly known from her days as Agent Sarah Walker on the NBC television series Chuck, took to Twitter on April 10 to reveal that she'll officially be coming back:
"Yes..she is coming back to shake things up for Dexter a little...just to add to the turmoil :)."
Dexter will be kicking off its eighth season on Sunday, June 30, at 9 p.m. EDT. Keep checking back for the latest scoops on America's favorite serial killer.
