They recently renewed their vows and seemed to be better than ever, but Young and the Restless fans who love their 'Chadam' may need to prepare themselves for heartbreak before the summer is over.

Melissa Clare Egan, who portrays Chelsea on the soap, sat down with Soap Central to reveal that despite the love her character and Adam (Justin Hartley) share, there are so many challenges they are going to be facing over the next few months that they could have a hard time making it through.

"...The downside is they're definitely facing some adversity right now with a possible trial for Adam coming up," she said. "...There are a lot of different things, but mostly this upcoming potential trial is definitely causing some drama."

However, the situation, which they believe was put into motion by Victor (Eric Braden) out of revenge for Adam testifying against him at his own trial, isn't the only one the couple is dealing with. Though proving that the alleged accusations by Sage in her diary that Adam killed Constance Bingham are priority, there is still the fact that Adam was the biological father of Sage's son, Christian, which the couple hasn't fully dealt with yet. And with the reveal that Christian is alive and Sharon (Sharon Case) has been passing him off as her son, Sully, is bound to come out sooner or later, further complicating that issue for the pair as well.

"There is so much other stuff going on right now for them, that it's almost like a side story-which is crazy, that something that intense would be a side story! Right now, Chelsea is focused on keeping her husband out of prison and keeping her family together when she knows these charges are ludicrous. She knows someone is out for her husband and trying to take him down and will stop at nothing to do it, and then hopefully if they can get through this, she'll deal with whatever is going on with the whole baby situation," she said. "...She knows that Adam is Christian's father, but she doesn't know the baby is alive. That's a potentially dangerous thing [for them to face] when it does come out, but it's nothing compared to what they're dealing with right now."

However, despite the issues the couple faces, Egan hopes there's still a chance they'll get through it all.

"Chelsea and Adam have been through so much together, and she's lost him so many times, that losing him again just isn't an option for her," she said. "She'll fight to the end and do whatever it takes. They've lost each other so many times, and yet always found their way back to one another, and they're not willing to lose each other again...Hopefully they can stand the test of time."

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
