CW Vampire Diaries' fans have seen quite the storyline transition in season 4 - having to witness the deaths of both Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) - and more surprises might be in store for viewers.

While the surprising course of events was unexpected by its loyalists, the series supposedly isn't done shaking things up just yet. Executive producer Julie Plec took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to the following comment made by follower @dobrevlouise, who is fearful over the prospect of another one of her favorites being killed off:

"do me a favor @julieplec ? give a clear warning next time a main character dies, Alaric and jeremys almost killed me. Ok ily bye x."

Plec obliged to the fan's request, offering her a spoiler on what's to come in the Vampire Diaries season 4 finale. She wrote, "@dobrevlouise you may want to skip the finale. Or hide behind a box of Kleenex."

The respective tweet exchange sparked massive speculation from fans, since there are seemingly endless possibilities over who would bite the dust next. Wet Paint suspected that "Someone could get on the wrong side of Klaus (Joseph Morgan)" prior to him making the trek to New Orleans as part of The Originals cast. The website also stated that the potential for Bonnie (Kat Graham) to die may be high as well, as one of her potent spells could do her in.

Next up for The Vampire Diaries will be its Pictures of You episode, which will air on Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT on CW.
