Teen Mom 2 season eight is happening.

During an appearance on "Dentists, Implants and Worms," Randy, a dentist, confirmed filming on the upcoming eighth season of Teen Mom 2 and shot down the idea of a potential spinoff series featuring his daughter and her soon-to-be husband, Cole DeBoer.

“I believe she probably wouldn’t want to do that,” Randy said of a possible spin-off show, according to a report by The Ashley's Reality Roundup on Monday. “She’s ready to quit [‘Teen Mom 2.’] I don’t think I’m supposed to say that. If the series ends, she’s fine with it.”

According to Randy, Chelsea would be filming her bachelorette party, but when it comes to her wedding ceremony, the most viewers will see is a few photos of the event.

“Sometimes they push her to do some drama but she doesn’t want drama,” Randy said of MTV's efforts to create controversy. “Drama makes good TV but she doesn’t want a life of drama... The show is financially lucrative for her. She’s 24 and she has a house. That’s why she’s stuck with it. She’s doing well, and Aubree’s all set as far as college money.”

Although MTV may suggest Chelsea amp up the drama in her life, Randy insisted that the series is not scripted.

“They tell you when they’re going to be there [to film],” he explained. “Everyone always says it’s scripted, but it’s not scripted. They may tell you what they want you to talk about for the storyline of the show but everything’s real. Otherwise, what are they going to do, sit there and watch her make dinner?”
