Dark Matter's Raza crew is back, and they're ready for answers.

Syfy will roll out their Friday night lineup tonight, kicking off the holiday weekend with the interstellar adventures of Killjoys and Dark Matter. The back-to-back premieres will open the summer season starting at 9 p.m. ET with Dark Matter hitting screens at 10 p.m. ET.

Las year, six criminals and an android woke up in deep space, their memories mysteriously missing. The crew believed a mole stole wiped their minds as they slept, but the finale revealed the truth. Five/Das (Jodelle Ferland), in an effort to save Six (Roger Cross), cobbled together a flawed code that left her head filled with everyone else's thought. Six/Griffin Jones, meanwhile, used the finale moments to reveal his allegiance to the Galactic Authority, turning his shipmates over the police.

As season 2 begins, One/Derrick Moss (Marc Bendavid), Two/Portia Lin/Rebecca (Melissa O'Neil), Three/Marcus Boone (Anthony Lemke), Four/Ryo Tetsudo (Alex Mallari Jr.), Five, and the Android (Zoie Palmer) will continue to dig into their pasts, albeit from behind bars. Their escape is imminent, but what will they find on the outside? A feud between the corporations is about the reach a boiling point, and, as far as we can tell, the Raza crew is inextricably linked to the oncoming storm.

Luckily, the upcoming run will come equipped with a few of the answers our heroes have been desperately seeking. What does Dwarf Star have planned for Two? Is Six really a traitor? What is on Five keycard that is so deadly? Will One meet up with the real Jace Corso yet again?

"One of the things that drives me nuts about certain mystery shows is they hold onto the mystery for so long," showrunner Joseph Mallozzi told Gizmodo. "They never answer the mystery in a satisfactory fashion, and that's one of the things that I wanted to avoid."

Can't get in front of a TV for the premiere? No problem. Catch a Dark Matter live stream here at 9 p.m. ET. Those without a cable login can watch the episode later this week on Syfy.com.
