New details surrounding episode 23 of CW's The Vampire Diaries season 4, which is titled Graduation, have now come out on the web.

According to TV Line, the highly anticipated finale episode will be featuring two larger than life cliffhangers that will surely "send the show in an entirely different direction!"

The site spoke to VD executive producer Julie Plec, who dished that the characters of Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) will each be taking their own paths.

"We will know, when the finale is over, where everyone stands in the context of the Stefan/Damon/Elena triangle. It will definitely set all three of them on a very different and interesting path when we move forward. When all is said and done, it's got some pretty good romantic moments," she said.

However, Plec also went on to warn fans that the future installment will have "death and destruction" in it, as a supernatural crisis will adversely effect Graduation Day for the Mystic Falls seniors.

"I cannot comment on permanent deaths, but I will say there will be lots of destruction," she explained.

Next up for The Vampire Diaries will be its Originals backdoor pilot, which will air on the CW network at 8/7c on Thursday, April 25. The finale episode will be showing on May 17.
