He's been given a slight repreive from potentially heading to jail for a crime he didn't commit thanks to Ian (Ray Wise) shooting at the courthouse during his trial, but now, Adam (Justin Hartley) will have to decide quickly if he's willing to take his chances in court, or if he'll accept Victor's (Eric Braden) terms to prove his innocence and make the whole case go away on The Young and the Restless.

Adam got permission to visit Victor at the hospital, where his father seemed to confirm he had set him up to look like he had murdered Constance Bingham, by telling him if he returned to working at Newman by his father's side, the missing pages from Sage's diary which would prove him to be innocent would show up. Adam will be livid and tell his father there is no way he will accept the deal, but when he returns home to Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) he may find himself trying to decide if it's worth it after all since his other alternative is likely prison.

"He wants me to return to Newman. Work for him," he says in a preview clip for the Monday, July 11 episode.

Chelsea will then tell Adam how while he was gone, she and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) once again examined footage from the prison security cameras of the woman who was Victor's accomplice in potentially both setting Adam up, and causing the Neman Oil rig disaster. However, since they got no closer to identifying her even with a small shot of her face on one of the cameras, the only hope they have now would be if Kevin finds the diary pages Victor mentioned before the trial heads back to court next week. If he is unable to do that however, and they get no closer to figuring out the identity of the mystery woman, then Adam may find himself doing the unthinkable and agreeing to Victor's demands after all, even if a return to his father's company could once again change him into a different man and cost him everything else.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
