CW's The Vampire Diaries continues to stir up buzz amongst its fans in regards to its highly anticipated remaining episodes of the fourth season.

One of the biggest topics has been the unorthodox alliance between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola), as many of the show's loyalists are surely wondering how the friendship will ultimately pan out.

TV Line reported that there's a strong possibility that the allegiance is temporary, as a storm allegedly lies ahead in the form of a confrontation between the two strong characters.

Judging by the May 2 episode synopsis, the blonde vampire is said to have a "confusing and dangerous encounter" with the Original.

It appears as though Caroline may be confused about her feelings for Klaus, as a photo of the two shows the former in a compromising position with the latter.

In other VD character news, executive producer Julie Plec, recently dished that Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) are each set to be taking their own paths.

"We will know, when the finale is over, where everyone stands in the context of the Stefan/Damon/Elena triangle. It will definitely set all three of them on a very different and interesting path when we move forward. When all is said and done, it's got some pretty good romantic moments," she said.

However, Plec also warned fans that season 4's May 17 installment will have "death and destruction" in it, as a supernatural crisis will adversely effect Graduation Day for the Mystic Falls seniors.

"I cannot comment on permanent deaths, but I will say there will be lots of destruction," she explained.

CW's Vampire Diaries will next air on Thursday, April 25 at 8/7c with its Originals backdoor pilot. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the popular series.
