Yolanda Foster, 'RHOBH' Star Recovering from Surgery, Tweets As She Recuperates [VIDEO]
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster is recuperating from her April 19 surgery that was done as part of her ongoing battle with lyme disease.
The former model tweeted a photo of herself in a hospital bed Friday, with the port still in her arm. The post read:
❤Exciting day, getting my port out, xoxo twitter.com/YolandaHFoster…

The reality star tweeted back in December about getting the port implanted due to her treatment for Neoro Borrelia Lyme Disease, a condition where bacteria is spread through infected tick bites.
The disease results in fever, fatigue, depression and a skin rash. A port is a medical device implanted under the skin that is left in place for a long period of time, when the condition requires regular injections of drugs and blood tests. The surgery to implant and later remove the port is done under local anesthesia and mild sedation.
Foster hasn't specified what her symptoms are but without treatment, the disease is known to affect the heart and central nervous system, Radar Online reported.
After her port removal, the Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star didn't seem to suffer any negative symptoms.
The reality star, known for being a fitness nut and devoted mastercleanse follower tweeted on Saturday, April 20, "Due to my surgery yesterday I had to break my fast this AM day #6 of the #mastercleanse pls Keep going day 10 is almost there #youcandothis."
