Wendy Williams has reached a turning point in her career.

She sat down with journalist and News One Now host Roland Martin earlier this week after the two battled it out on social media.

Their feud started when Williams called out several Black organizations such as the NAACP and HBCUs. It didn’t take long for Martin to blast her on his show and compare her to Stacey Dash, who has gotten lots of flack for her statements in the media as well.

Still, Williams and Martin were able to sit down on her show with one another and have a productive conversation as Martin broke down why those types of organizations are important in the community.

In the end, Williams admitted, “I stand corrected,” after Martin educated her and many viewers. He revealed statistics such as “less than 1 percent of cops involved in a shooting are indicted.”

He added, “The laws that are set up are to protect the cops” versus the people, citizens, and community.

He went on to say that while police wear body cameras, the police chief has to okay others to see what is on the camera.

“The greatest ‘don’t snitch policy in America is in police departments. They don’t wanna talk. They don’t wanna turn each other in. And that’s the problem.”

The conversation comes after two police officer involved shootings killed Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. It also follows the death of five police officers during a rally in Dallas.
