She has fiercely defended and protected him from scrutiny for months, but now, Summer (Hunter King) will reveal that she has finally seen the light when it comes to Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva), and she wants to be the one to take him down on The Young and the Restless.

After they began dating, Summer always took Luca's side and defended him when issues came up regarding Newman Enterprises, much to the disappointment of her family, especially her father, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and aunt, Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Now though, after hearing her father's warning that a reporter had bragged about having an inside source at Newman, and then hearing Luca on a phone call with a reporter, she realized he was playing her in an effort to get ahead, and she will let Victoria know that despite what she may say and how she may act when Luca is around, she is firmly on their side and preparing to nail him for his deceit.

"So you're with us against Luca?" Victoria asks in a preview clip for the Tuesday, July 19 episode.

"Yeah," Summer replies. "Dad told me to keep my ears open, and he was right."

Her confession will come after an altercation with Victoria on the rooftop, where she informed the two that the workers at the Newman Oil refinery had walked out on their jobs in protest over their safety, and Victoria attacked Luca for pulling Summer away from the office and her responsibilities. Summer then retaliated back by telling Victoria she was the only one to blame for Newman going downhill.

However, since they need a lot more to take Luca down for good, Victoria will decide to up the game to a new level and raise the stakes-by pretending to fire Summer in front of Luca. Then, Luca will show his true colors to Summer even more as she grumbles over the situation later, by suggesting she try to overthrow Victoria as CEO of Newman so she can take over-with him by her side.
