While it's still a couple months away, HBO's True Blood has been generating a slew of anticipation for its season 6 launch.

A brand new clip surfaced that seemingly reveals a considerable amount of friction between Sookie (Anna Pacquin) and her brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten). Jason could be seen aiming a gun at Sookie's skull but Hollywood Life said that there's a sensible reason for the former's actions, as he's apparently trying to put an end to Nora (Lucy Griffiths) while Sookie is trying to stop it.

Jason's fairy sister goes between him and the firearm, reminding him that Nora is Eric's sibling (Alexander Skarsgard) and shouldn't be killed. While aiming his gun at Nora, Jason demands her to reveal information on the evil vampire Warlow.

The season 6 trailer, which is 30 seconds in length, gives the show's loyalists its first official glimpse at the intimidating villain. However, it was extremely dark and all that could be seen was his hat.

Kwanten recently spoken to E! Online about the upcoming season, saying that there will be some deaths to come in the future episodes.

"There are more deaths. Some favorite characters may not last," he said.

The 36-year-old also went on to reveal that fans of True Blood can expect the program to return back to its supernatural roots. He said, "The show was getting back to the supernatural elements and madness that it's famous for."

True Blood is set to premiere its sixth season on Sunday, June 16 at 9/8 p.m. Central. Keep checking back for more of the latest details of the show.
