Pretty Little Liars recently cast one of its newest authority figures in actor Sean Faris, who will come to Rosewood in a recurring role as Pennsylvania state police officer Gabriel Holbrook.

Faris recently interviewed with ET Online and dished about the character he'll be coming on board to play.

"Officer Holbrook is, about, 27-years-old but is already a successful detective and in order to do that, you have to be on your game. He's a hard worker, he's very focused, he's to the point, but he's also surrounded by a group of suspects who are beautiful young women, so we'll see how he stands the test."

According to Wet Paint, Holbrook is clearly in over his head, as Rosewood police officers are forced to deal with "an ever-increasing number of murders and arsons, but they also, on occasion, turn up dead (RIP, Garrett)."

"Its funny you and I are having this conversation now because I was talking with Roma Maffia, who plays my partner on the show, and we literally had this discussion of 'we could play it this way, we could play it that way.' So we did each of our scenes three different ways and the editors can cut it together however they'd like to," Faris added to ET Online.

The actor had also explained to Zap2It that his character and partner, Detective Tanner (Roma Maffia), came to Rosewood in order "to investigate some of the mysteries that seem to elude the local police."
