There's been a lot of speculation about who Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed in the final moments of the season six finale of The Walking Dead, but new hints may have emerged which at least guarantee the potential safety of three characters.

Though he and his son, Carl (Chandler Riggs) were already both believed to be safe since Negan referred to and gestured towards both of them before bringing his bat down on his victim's head, there does seem to be some new indication that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is still going to be alive after the victim's identity is revealed in the season seven premiere, after an interview where he addressed how Rick will be a very different character from the one fans saw throughout season 6, where he was confident and cocky.

Now, he admits, that will be no more as he realizes what danger Negan proposes.

"Everything he's fought and bled for and had family members die for, everything that he's worked for two years to get to, has been shattered in 24 hours," he told comicbook.com. "He's not in a good space. If he makes it through the first episode, he's different. He will be a different man."

The website also notes how the trailer that was released during San Diego Comic-Con, which seemed to deliberately try and omit any of the characters who were in the lineup from being seen later on and alive, may have actually helped identify at least two other victims who could have survived.

One scene in the trailer which shows Negan, also appears to show someone with similar characteristics to Maggie (Lauren Cohan) directly behind him, sporting a shaggy haircut and also seeming to have eyebrows similar to hers. Though the character could be one of Negan's Saviors who is similar in appearance to Glenn's (Steven Yuen) wife, the similarities are noticeable, meaning the sole remaining member of the Green family is still going to be alive.

The website also notes that in a scene where Negan brings his bat down and clobbers his victim on the head, his lineup is in front of him, though obscured. However, to the right of the frame, it appears to be a female character who has longer hair, meaning that either Michonne (Danai Gurira) or Rosita (Christian Serratos) was sitting next to the character who was killed, and based on the darkness of the outfit the woman is wearing, it appears to in fact be Rosita.

While fans of Rosita and Michonne would both be happy to learn that their characters would survive, if they are the ones in the frame, it would narrow down the possibilities considerably when it comes to identifying Negan's victim.

If Rosita is in fact the character on the right, and Negan is beating the person to her left to death, then Glenn will meet the same fate as his comic book counterpart and not make it through the rest of season seven. If Michonne is the character on the right, then it would mean Daryl (Norman Reedus), another massive fan favorite, will be the one to die.

However, this is still hope that the one who dies isn't Glenn, as another figure can be seen in silhouette to the left of Negan's victim. This would mean that no one dies if it is Rosita, as Glenn is the bookend of the lineup.

The Walking Dead season 7 premieres Sunday, October 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
