Olympics 2016 Live Stream Day 3: How To Watch Online, Including Michael Phelps, Serena Williams & More [VIDEO]
Day 3 of the 2016 Rio Olympics has begun, with major highlights including men's swimming, women's fencing and more!
Swimming legend Michael Phelps is hoping to add yet another gold medal to his collection on Monday. Phelps will be making his debut in the 200m butterfly preliminary heats starting at 12 p.m. ET. The semifinals of the 200m butterfly will then go down at 9 p.m. ET. You can live stream both events here and here on the NBC Olympics website. All you'll need is your cable subscription info.
"I haven't trained like this in a decade," Phelps told Today recently. "I want to retire how I want to retire and I have a great opportunity to do that."
Other swimming events going on at 9 p.m. include the women's 200m freestyle semis, the men's 200m freestyle finale, the men and women's 100m backstroke final, the women's 100m breaststroke final and the women's 200m IM semis.
Another highlight to watch on Monday is tennis great Serena Williams competing against France's Alize Cornet. Williams is hoping to recoup after a devastating loss with her sister, Venus Williams, on Sunday in the women's doubles division. They previously maintained a perfect 15-0 record at the Olympics as a duo.
Serena did win her first solo match on Sunday, though, beating Australia's Daria Gavrilova 6-4, 6-2. Venus did not fare as well, defeated by Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5). Serena will be carrying on the Williams family name at 5:45 p.m. ET in her match against Cornet, which you can live stream here.
Monday is also a big day for volleyball at the Olympics. The U.S. women's team, led by Courtney Thompson, will be battling the Netherlands in the preliminary stage of the tournament. This will take place at 2 p.m. ET, and can be watched through live stream here.
