Vera Farmiga gave some enticing insight on what's next for her character on Bates Motel even if Norma's not alive anymore.

On Saturday, Zap 2 It released the details from the actress whose character was killed off in the previous season of the series. Even though Norma's dead, it doesn't mean that her story is.

"I think it's going to continue as a playground," Farmiga said. "That was my biggest fear, she would be minimized. She was so robust, Norma Bates. I had no idea when I signed onto this that I would be singing and dancing and playing piano-being funny and being absurd. I had no idea that this female characterization embodied all of that."

With Norma being dead, this might actually make her character a lot more intimidating especially for her son Norman who will have more issues to face.

"I think there's going to be more liberties and lunacy, given the fact that she is a figment...a ghost that he's creating," Farmiga said.

In a previous report from Yahoo!, showrunner Kerry Ehrin opened up on the challenges that were faced on the series with all the damaging emotions.

"I knew it would be tough. This show, I have to say, in my experience, has been a really difficult show to write because it's two characters essentially that everything in this story has to filter through," Ehrin said. "And at the same time, you're telling a story of people who are all psychologically bent, so no one means anything that's coming out of their mouth. It's a very complicated equation in general."

Bates Motel Season 5 is expected to premiere sometime next spring on A&E.
