It's time for the Flarrowverse to get musical, and DC's foray into the world of staffs and ledger lines has the Flash and Supergirl fandoms working over time. What type of harmonious mayhem awaits our heroes this spring? Here are a few new details to help facilitate your speculation...

The two-part crossover event will air around episode 13, which unfortunately means that details are still few and far between. Utilizing songs from pop cultures catalogue, the Flash/Supergirl will walk in the footsteps of sci-fi's most well known musical - Buffy the Vampire's "Once More With Feeling." In fact, Joss Whedon himself might even be on tap to direct.

"We've learned that the director of both episodes of the crossover will be none other than Joss Whedon," The Hashtag Show reported on Friday.

With a resume that boasts Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Buffy, and episode of Glee, and, of course, The Avengers, Whedon is tailor made for this job.

For those of you who are wondering how exactly Grant Gustin (Barry) and Melissa Benoist (Kara) will lend their pipes to the episodes, you can expect to see much of the crossovers vocalizing take place inside someone's mind (with or without a little meddling from Music Meister).

"#TheFlash / #Supergirl musical ep will likely involve being inside a characters' mind," BuzzFeed's Jarett Wieselman reported from the Television Critics Association press tour last week.

Do you think The Flash and Supergirl can pull off a musical hour? They certainly have the talent, after all.
