'iZombie' Season 3 Spoilers: Liv Will Turn Her Powers To Eleven, Find Out How [VIDEO]
Cure or no cure, iZombie's Ravi will have a few tricks up his sleeve in season 3.
There's only one medical examiner in Seattle who has to balance caring for the dead and the undead, and Rahul Kohli's character will have his work cut out for him as the clock ticks down for Major (Robert Buckley) and the allegedly amnesiac Blaine (David Anders). In his efforts to procure a workable cure, it appears Ravi will find a way to enhance the powers of Team Z.
"Ravi will stumble upon a recipe to make zombie visions more vivid and longer lasting," executive producer Rob Thomas told Entertainment Weekly.
Now that both Major and Liv (Rose McIver) are noshing on cerebellums, prolonged visions will prove a boon to the Seattle PD. With Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) in the know, out little zombies will be able to officially tune their antennas to issues that fall outside the case of the week, i.e. Fillmore Graves, Stacey Boss, and whatever tidbits will help the team weave their way through the twisted web network of the nation's undead.
So what type of visions should you expect in season 3? Executive producer Diane Ruggiero and McIver have dropped a few teasers.
"One that's coming up early on is that Liv and Major eat brains together and it's a dad and a daughter," Ruggiero told EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con. "Liv eats the brains of the Dad and Major eats the brains of the belligerent teenage daughter. So we get to see that play out."
McIver, meanwhile, is looking forward to spending a little time inside the head of her own countrymen. A native of New Zealand, the actress might have the chance to use her own accent during season 3.
"We've actually talked about it a lot," McIver said of a potential Kiwi brain, according to Couture Caddy. "There are a few people that Rob Thomas (our showrunner) really wants to get. It's kind of been subject to other people's availability but it will happen and it will be a lot of fun."
