Inconsistent art, lackluster drawings, and downright laughable coloring made a lot of fans apprehensive about how Studio Pierrot was going to treat the upcoming final arc of Naruto Shippuden.

This week's episode, Congratulations, put all those fears to rest. While the animation could have been slightly better, the quality and effort put into the episode were notable. In fact, as could be seen in the official Naruto Shippuden subreddit, many fans were actually brought to tears by Episode 474's direction, soundtrack, and storyboard.

Overall, Congratulations was almost perfect, as it was heartfelt and sincere. The scenes involving Naruto and his dad, for one, were considered by fans as among the most moving sequences in the anime in recent years.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 475 Preview

As could be confirmed by those who have read the manga, the final fight between the two young ninjas could be considered as one of the most intense and pivotal battles in the entire Naruto saga. In fact, Naruto and Sasuke's rematch could very well be the franchise's climax, as the stories of the two characters finally come full circle.

Naruto Shippuden Production Problems Finally Solved?

If there was one thing that fans definitely appreciated about Episode 474, it was the fact that the anime was produced with a very steady hand. Gone were the awkward frames and the inconsistent animation. In its place was an episode that was well-drawn, well-directed and masterfully scored.

With the quality of Episode 474 being lauded by fans, there is a good chance that Studio Pierrot is finally putting its all on the last few episodes of Naruto Shippuden. The anime has been drawn out far more than it should have, and now that it has almost reached its final stop, it might as well end with a massive bang.
