HBO's True Blood continues to create a slew of chatter in terms of its upcoming sixth season. While the show's loyalists will surely be looking forward to the returns of some of their favorite characters, there will inevitably be a fair share of new ones coming aboard the vampire series.

Below are the latest revelations in terms of the current TB casting activity:

Rutger Hauer of the classic Blade Runner, will don the role of Macklyn, an evil and twisted individual who actually has ties to Sookie (Anna Pacquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten).

Karolina Wydra of Crazy, Stupid Love will come on board to play a sexy vampire named Violet, who will be extremely dangerous.

Moneyball's Arliss Howard will be on the scene as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell while Pacific Rim's Robert Kazinsky enters as Sookie's newest romantic interest.

Commencement's Amelia Rose Blaire will play Willa Burrell, the governor's daughter with a mother that abandoned her father to run away with a vampire.

Former Friday Night Lights actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell will return to television as Nicole Janssen, who is an activist involved in a campaign for vampire rights.

Luke Grimes of Brothers & Sisters will play James, an intelligent, smart and emotionally deep vampire from the 70s.

Lastly, Danielle Yu was cast to fill the shoes of Somchai, who appears in the fifth episode.
