NeNe Leakes has revealed that she is not going to be on the upcoming ninth season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta amid casting speculation; but the reason she is not returning to the show is pretty surprising.

She confirmed the news via Twitter Tuesday night and started by saying she has no ill will thoughts toward the ladies who are remaining.

She added, “I am NOT on season 9” as she thanked another fan, “4 the love.”


As for why, she revealed, “I wasn’t asked 2 b a full time housewife or part time,” but she did say that Sheree Whitfield and even Kim Zolciak would be returning.

While some fans might be surprised that she was not asked to return for the ninth season, which will mark the first that she does not star in, she told another fan, “Thanks 4 the support boo kitty! I’m not surprised at the treatment which is y a keep an iron in 20 fires at all times.”


She then said that they “pretty much” didn’t ask her to return to did request Kenya Moore, who joined the show in season five.

Leakes also responded to a fan who said there is no show without her. “I feel like Kelly Ripa,”she confessed, referring to the shocking co-host shakeup that happened with Live! With Kelly and Michael earlier this summer. “But I’m good so no worries here.”


She then warned, “I know who the REAL hater is! Hey boo…”
