He may be getting his best odds this time around, but that doesn't mean the new Bachelor Nick Viall is positive he's going to find his future wife on the show's 21st season.

Viall, who struck out as first runner-up in both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe's seasons of The Bachelorette, and also didn't find everlasting love on the recent season of Bachelor In Paradise, was announced as the season 21 star, meaning he will hopefully find love this time around out of the 25 contestants who will be chosen to try and connect with him.

However, in an interview on Good Morning America, Viall admitted that he doesn't know for sure that he'll actually be lucky this time around, and his past experiences made him hesitant when producers approached him about being the new star at the last minute.

"At first I was like, 'Really, C'mon,'" he said. "They asked me, and I was very nervous. It took me a couple days. I told them I had to think about it. It's a huge responsibility, but it's obviously an amazing opportunity, so ultimately I accepted."

"There's a lot of expectations that come with it, and there's also no guarantees, right?" He continued. "You never know if you're going to connect with [the women]. Maybe you really like someone who doesn't really like you back. You just never know."

Viall was surprisingly chosen over the front-runners expected to win the gig from JoJo's season. Luke Pell and Chase McNarry were both contenders, with Pell expected to be given the gig before producers changed their minds and chose to ask Viall instead.

Viall first appeared on Andi Dorfman's season, and later showed up unexpectedly on Kaitlyn's season. He made it to the final two both times, but was ultimately dumped in favor of Josh Murray (he and Dorfman later split), and Shawn Booth (who is still with Bristowe).
