As per usual, Felicity knows best. Arrow's Oliver Queen will get in over his head in the season 5 premiere, but Star City residents should remain calm - the vigilante's ex has a plan to get Team Arrow back up and running.

With the death of Laurel (Katie Cassidy) and the departure of Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland), Star City's home improvement stores are surely doing a booming business. Oliver is finally in a position to enact change from the desks of City Hall to the darkest alleys, but the crime rate is a little more than a hacker and the mayor/archer can handle. Locks, bolts, and pepper spray are the order of the day.

In the season 5 premiere, Oliver will take "to the streets solo to protect Star City's citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes," The CW teased.

"Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes."

It will take the Green Arrow a little time to whip a new squad into shape, and the series will treat fans to another round of flashbacks in the meantime. "Legacy" will mark the beginning of Arrow's final foray into Oliver's past, this time focusing on his time battling the Bratva in Mother Russia.

When Oliver's old team does inevitably return, Diggle and Thea will have to find a way to mesh with the likes of Artemis and Wild Dog.

"He's not going to love all these little upstarts, trying to take over his role," executive producer Wendy Mericle told TV Line. "But he'll adjust. He's going to find some common ground with Wild Dog, and that will help take the sting out of it."
