The wait is nearly over for fans of the HBO hit show True Blood, as there's just a little over a month left until its season 6 launch.

The cable network recently put out a 1 minute, 30 second trailer on the highly anticipated vampire series. As was previously reported, an earlier footage features the threat that the human race will impose on the vampires, as they were never considered a problem for the fanged ones before.

At the fifth season's end, Bill (Stephen Moyer) guzzled the blood of Lilith (Jessica Clark) while Sookie (Anna Pacquin) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) were present, which turned him into a more powerful vampire.

Despite Bill's increased dominance, Sookie can be witnessed consoling him in the new video footage. With the aid of a newbie named Ben (Rob Kazinsky), Ms. Stackhouse also appears to be working on her fairy powers. The former is said to be taking on another angle as Sookie's future love interest.

Joe Mangiello, who dons the role of werewolf Alcide Herveaux, spoke to TVLine on April 16 about what the series' loyalists should anticipate moving forward.

"We're going to the point in the season now where people are starting to die," he said.

True Blood will only be airing 10 episodes this season as opposed to its usual 12. It's set to return in the U.S. on June 16 on HBO. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details. The newest trailer can be viewed below.
