There you are, Dr. Snow! We were beginning to think The Flash forgot about you.

The Flash is keeping a tight lid on season 3's Flashpoint storyline, but, if you want to pinpoint one character that is truly hiding in the shadows, it would be Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker). Actors and writers alike have kept mum about the scientist's role in the new timeline, but the new "Two Flashes Are Better Than One" trailer gives fans their first real look at Panabaker's character.

Donning a white lab coat, poor Snow is scooped up by the Flash (Barry Allen) and deposited in front of Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), Iris (Candice Patton) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) at the latter's corporate headquarters. Two things are certain - A) the doc's smarts are still intact, no question about it, and B) there isn't a hint of Killer Frost about her.

"She's a scientist! We need her," Barry implores his old STAR Labs squad.

According to Panabaker, however, this version of her character is "totally different."

"Do they even know each other?" the actress wondered while speaking with Entertainment Weekly. "All the relationships are very different."

Barry will take on this brave new world in "Flashpoint," the aptly titled season 3 premiere. By time episode 2 rolls around, however, the Scarlet Speedster will come to realize that his meddling will have grave consequences.

"Barry is living his dream life - his parents are alive, he's asked Iris West on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash, running around saving the city," the CW teased. "When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash."

Catch the season 3 premiere Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
