'Clash of Clans' Update: Sneak Peek Reveals Balancing Changes, Army Training And Quick Train, Fans Impressed [VIDEO]
October would be a very important month for Clash of Clans players, as Supercell is rolling out the game's most important patch in a very long time. From balancing changes to new training methods, the Clash of Clans October 2016 update is something that CoC fans should look forward to.
Heralding the October 2016 update for Clash of Clans are a series of new features that have been long requested by fans. Among these are new troops, some much needed balancing changes and a new army training feature that has long been awaited by fans of the blockbuster mobile game.
Army Training and Quick Train
One of the things that avid Clash of Clans players has been pointing out over the last few years is the massive time it takes to train an army for battle. These times got progressively worse the stronger the units get. With the new update, however, these issues get directly addressed.
A convenient Retrain button would be added to the game after the October 2016 update. This enables players to have slots for as many as three army combinations, which could be retrained very easily with a single tap. Doing so makes making and preparing armies much more efficient.
Bowler Nerfs and Spell Buffs
The notion of Clash of Clans nerfing some of its units during updates is nothing new, but the troop that would be nerfed in the game, the Bowler, is something that numerous players of the game appreciate. In their current state, Bowlers are a bit overpowered, making them ideal for spam attacks. With the update, Bowlers would get their HP and damage points lowered, making them far less threatening than before.
Some useful spells in the game have also been given a significant boost. One of these is the Dark Elixir Skeleton Spell, which spawns skeletons into the battlefield. While the spell is next to useless in the game's current iteration, the fact that it would be able to summon 26 skeletons in one go after the update would surely make it as one of the most preferred spells in the game.
New Defense: Bomb Tower
Supercell has also unveiled a new type of defense that is extremely effective against ground troops. Called the Bomb Tower, this new type of defense would be available for players with Town Hall 8 and could be upgraded to level 5. Bomb Towers are pretty deadly, especially since they work very well against hoards of enemies.
With this new defense in place, spam attacks just got a lot less threatening. Looks like Supercell is really curbing those Bowler hoards used in spam attacks.
