Everyone expected that he would try and strike out to get the baby he believes is his grandson from Chad (Billy Flynn), and now, Clyde (James Read) is living up to that expectation on Days of Our Lives.

He was fed up with waiting for action on Orpheus' (George Del Hoyo) orders, and was determined to get into the DiMera mansion so he could kill Chad and take Thomas for Ben. Now, after Andre (Thaao Penghlis) approached him and offered him a deal that would allow him to kill Chad and take Thomas (and allow Andre to assume his place as the rightful heir of DiMera Enterprises) , Clyde has been given his way into the mansion and past the security guards-and he is now there to confront Chad once and for all.

Clyde will make his presence to Chad known, and will then demand he hand over Thomas and let him take him away to be reunited with his father, even though it's a known fact that Chad is the boy's biological father. And Chad may play along nicely in an effort to protect himself-but he has secret knowledge of something Clyde doesn't, and has the upper-hand.

Marlena (Deirdre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) have enacted a plan with Chad, Adrienne (Judi Evans), Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) to draw Clyde out of hiding, in the hopes that he would come to them and they would be able to finally take him down and get him arrested again. And while Clyde is threatening Chad, his reinforcements are right outside the door waiting for their ideal moment to strike.

If their plan works, not only will one of the three dangerous convicts then be captured, but it could be the positive sign everyone needs that they have a fighting chance against the men, especially if they are able to convince Clyde to flip on Orpheus and Xander (Paul Telfer).

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
