This past Thursday's episode of the CBS' hit TV series, The Big Bang Theory, was centered on Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) lack of a sexual relationship.
In The Love Spell Potential episode, Sheldon and Amy were forced to answer the looming question of whether they'll finally take their romance to the next level.
The million-dollar query ended up being addressed while the two partook in a studious game of Dungeons & Dragons, as Sheldon revealed that he just may turn their relationship into something more intimate.
Showrunner Steve Molaro, who genuinely enjoyed the dynamic of the Season 6 scene, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter on May 9 about the two characters, and their relationship's story arc moving forward.
"They proceed to role play what is essentially their first sexual experience but it is completely asexual at the same time; I love it. It's funny, weird, nerdy and touching. It's a huge step forward and at the same time, it isn't. I don't know where they go from here but I know they're moving forward."
Next up for The Big Bang Theory will be it's The Bon Voyage Reaction episode, which will air on Thursday, May 16.
