Blake Shelton Surprises Miranda Lambert On Stage Before Couple's Anniversary Amid Rumors About Their Dwindling Relationship
As fans continue to gossip about the seemingly downward spiral of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s marriage, The Voice judge surprised his wife at her concert in Bakersfield, Calif. on Thursday night, right before their anniversary.
Towards the end of Lambert’s concert, Shelton came on stage and yelled “Surprise!” before beginning to sing Boys Round Here, one day before the couple celebrated their three year anniversary.
“Hope you liked the surprise!” Lambert tweeted after the performance. The country music artist then posted a message Friday, tweeting, “And…. 3 years ago today @blakeshelton asked me to marry him. Pretty great moment in my life. I really like him!”
But Shelton has not yet responded to the post.
The God Gave Me You singer became involved with Lambert during his three-year anniversary with ex-wife Kaynette Gern, and later left her for Lambert.
Shelton’s performance was the first time the celebrity couple was together since the ACM Awards on April 7. Although there were reports of tension between the couple, Lambert had said, “Divorce is not an option.”
The two claimed they were in a healthy relationship, but had been bickering after Shelton had reportedly had an affair with Singer Cady Groves in March. Further drama ensued when Shelton hired Sheryl Crow as his guest mentor on The Voice.
But conflicting schedules made it hard for the two to work on their relationship.
