'The Voice' Season 11 Contestants: Which Team Alicia Keys Members Will Advance? [POLL, VIDEO]
Alicia Keys has many powerhouse vocalists on her The Voice team this year - but who will rise to the top?
The Knockouts on The Voice are over, and each coach now has their top 5 artists heading into the live playoffs. Next week will be an intense one for the top 20, with every single artist performing on Monday and voting occurring live during the show. Only 12 will emerge at the end of the night unscathed, the other eight eliminated from the competition.
Keys' team in particular is stacked with huge vocalists and unique artists, yet only three will advance to the official live shows. Who do you think they will be? Let's break down each artist on Team Alicia.
Christian Cuevas
Christian has been one of the more visible contestants on The Voice this season, with his blind audition of "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You" resulting in a 4-chair turn that concluded the premiere episode. His soulful take on both classic and current songs has made him a standout through all the preliminary rounds, but he may have to connect with the right song to really elevate himself to frontrunner status.
Josh Halverson
Keys stole Halverson during Monday night's final Knockout performance, with the brooding singer performing an alluring cover of "Whiskey and You". The artist has been through some whiplash, having picked Keys during his Blind Audition, then having Miley Cyrus steal him during the Battles, only to have Keys steal him back. Halverson may benefit from overlapping styles of artists on Keys team, allowing him to sneak through to the live shows.
Wé McDonald
Wé has had the most screentime by far this season on The Voice, with her Blind Audition being shown during the special episode after the closing ceremony of the Olympics. She has made herself into a potential frontrunner with her uniquely powerful voice on songs like "No More Drama" and would have to stumble hard to not make it through the live playoffs.
Kylie Rothfield
Kylie's bluesy rock voice lends itself perfectly to The Voice, considering the success of similar artists from previous seasons, like season 10's Laith Al-Saadi and season 8's Meghan Linsey. Her Knockout performance of "Hound Dog" was one of the more memorable of this season, and she could certainly become a dark horse contender to make it deep into the competition.
Sa'Rayah
Sa'Rayah is yet another example of the powerhouse vocalists that make up the Top 20 this year. Through each of her three performances so far she has shown off her range, but especially on her Blind Audition with "Drown in My Own Tears". However, her victory over Michael Sanchez during the Knockouts Monday night has been a controversial one so far, so she may be in danger of elimination if she doesn't pull off an undeniable performance.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
