Lee Jong Suk, famously known for starring in "Pinocchio," recently confirmed that he will be starring in an upcoming Korean series tentatively entitled, "While You Were Asleep." Another Korean star, Suzy, is yet to accept the offer to play the other lead role.

Lee was initially approached by "While You Were Asleep" writer, Park Hye Ryun. The said writer also contacted Suzy to star in her series.

Fortunately for Jong Suk's fans, South Korean talent agency, iHQ, already confirmed the 27-year-old actor's involvement in the upcoming drama series. However, the 22-year-old actress and his camp have yet to comment on the matter, Soompi reported.

Although "While You Were Asleep" is still in the early stages of production, a brief synopsis for the series has been released. The story revolves around a woman who could see the future through her dreams. Unfortunately, everything she dreams of is doomed occurrences that will happen to other people.

The male lead role, which is most likely to be portrayed by Jong Suk, is a prosecutor who is aware of the woman's dreams. He tries to prevent the unfortunate events from taking place.

Lee Song Juk's last K-Drama, "W," ended in September of this year. The South Korean actor is currently busy filming the 2017 movie, "VIP," under Warner Brothers. For the first time, Lee is portraying the villain, a serial killer. He stars opposite veteran actor, Jang Dong Gun.

Suzy, on the other hand, has no known engagements at the moment. The singer-actress' drama series, "Uncontrollably Fond," just ended in September, as well. In fact, the KBS2 show was in competition with Lee's "W" as both were aired in the same timeslot when they premiered in July.

Moreover, both actors have previously worked with writer, Park, in different projects. Lee starred in "I Hear Your Voice" while Suzy was in "Dream High." Both K-Drama were written by Hye Run. This time around, the popular actor and the idol might be in the same drama series once Suzy accepts the offer from the writer.

Once pre-production is completed, "While You Were Asleep" will start filming to meet the target premiere in 2017.
