‘Westworld’ Season 1 Finale Spoilers: Season Finale Teases Cliffhanger To Prepare For Season 2? [VIDEO]
HBO's Westworld has proven to be a one of a kind show that gained a number of viewers in the past weeks. With that positive response from viewers, will the network renew it for Season 2?
Westworld is set to air its Season 1 finale episode next week. Art.Mic reported that Westworld Season 1 Episode 10 is titled "The Bicameral Mind." Sources reveal that the title refers to a human consciousness theory generated in 1970 by psychologist Julian Jaynes.
The theory believes that human beings have only been able to think about their own awareness for the last 3,000 years. Before that happened, the voice that people hear in their heads were presumed to be some kind of divinity. With that, the site reported that in relation to the show, it will reveal Arnold's understanding of the Hosts.
Ford (Anthony Hopkins) explains that the ultimate goal of the Hosts is to achieve some kind of sentience. In the short trailer for Westworld Season 1 Episode 10, Ford can be heard saying a narrative. He said that he always loved a good story since he was a child and these stories help people become the person they dreamed to be. Fans will have to watch the finale episode to learn and understand what he meant by these statements.
Meanwhile, Fansided reported that Westworld Season 2 is finally confirmed. HBO announced that they are renewing the show for another 10 episodes. However, HBO programming head Casey Bloys revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the fans might have to wait a little longer for Season 2. He revealed that Westworld Season 2 is unlikely to air next year and it will be aired by 2018 instead.
Bloys explained that the production is still working on how to map out and write the scripts. Considering how big the world is for the show, rushing the production is not a very good idea. So fans will have to wait for more than a year for the continuation of the story.
Westworld Season 1 Episode 10 will air on Dec. 5 on HBO.
