AMC's Walking Dead continues to keep fans salivating over what's to come for their favorite walker killers in Season 4. However, word has it that the cast and crew have officially wrapped up filming its first episode of Season 4.

Earlier in the day, new showrunner Scott M. Gimple took to Twitter to reveal the following message:

"Ep1, S4 wrapped. Gratitude, awe, and utter excitement."

Although the pre-production phase of the upcoming installment had kicked off in April, its cameras didn't start off rolling until Monday, May 6, meaning it took a little under two weeks until completion.

In other TWD news, comic book creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman recently elaborated to TVLine about the location changes set to take place in the upcoming installment.

"There's always going to be new locations and new places to discover and explore. I don't want to reveal too much; Season 4 is still five months away. But I will say that as we see at the end of Season 3 we're definitely going to start Season 4 at the prison," he said.

"We may be there the whole season and we may not be... But there are going to be some big differences from Season 3," Kirkman continued.

The Walking Dead will be kicking off its fourth season on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central on the AMC network.
