Aside from that, The CW has finally released the official plot summary and a preview clip of the Christmas Special episode 9 "The Present", while last week's episode 8 'Invasion!' is highlighted here for fans who have missed to watch it.
Mark Hamill officially returns in The Flash Season 3. The 65-year old American actor, voice actor, and writer will reprise his guest character as James 'The Earth-3 version of The Trickster' Jesse.
James happens to be a psychotic criminal who is considered as the most dangerous human being in Central City.
As for the official plot synopsis of episode 9, Den of Geek notes, "Barry seeks help from Jay Garrick - With Alchemy (Tobin Bell) and Savitar still looming threats, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris West Allen (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp)."
In addition to that, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he's been training with Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). But this doesn't go well with Barry. Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) will have his first Christmas without his brother Dante Ramon (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez) and past grudges will be unraveled.
For a quick rundown of episode 8 "Invasion!", Entertainment Weekly reported that Barry asked help from Arrow to defeat the aliens who attacked Central City. They also tracked the Legends of Tomorrow most importantly Supergirl (Melissa Benoit) after they realized that their manpower is not enough.
