After a highly successful first season, fans of HBO's The Newsroom are eagerly awaiting its sophomore installment. Just prior to the cable network's airing of Game of Thrones this past Sunday night, the program offered its audience up a brand new behind-the-scenes clip of the popular series.

In the footage, Jeff Daniels (Will McAvoy) can be seen attempting to get as dignified, as his news anchor character while Olivia Munn (Sloan Sabbith) dealt with her hair.

The Newsroom will go into Season 2 in a rather intriguing position, as viewers seemed to really enjoy it or extremely dislike its first run, according to Carter Matt.

Executive producer Aaron Sorkin had hinted to viewers that his characters will be prepping "for a deposition in a wrongful termination lawsuit that is going to hold some rather huge implications for their careers," stated the site.

Sorkin said they'll be further friction between Will and Mackenzie (Emily Mortimer), but he won't stop holding back due to her infidelity years earlier. However, he stated that Don (Thomas Sadoski) and Sloan will continue to flirt while Jim goes on the road to cover the Mitt Romney campaign.

HBO's The Newsroom is set to make its Season 2 return on Sunday July 14. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the cable network series.
