'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Premiere News, Spoilers: 4 Additional Episodes Confirmed; Rick To Escape Prison
Adult Swim recently released the sneak peek for the much awaited Rick and Morty Season 3 on its website. Meanwhile, the series creator Dan Harmon clarifies the reasons behind the delayed release of the show.
University Herald has learned that the video which was posted on the TV series' website revealed shows exciting scenes that will surely make the Morty fans happy. As the Adult Swim publicized the said sneak peek for Rick and Morty Season 3 it is then safe to speculate that the season might come out in March 2017.
Additionally, Creator Dan Harmon also exposed that Rick and Morty Season 3 would be longer by 4 episodes compared to the previous seasons. Instead of the having the normal 10 episodes per season, the third outing would have 14 episodes total.
Aside from that, Mobile & Apps reported that Harmon also clarified during an interview that Season 3 is still in the middle of production. He also added that the show has just completed working on three out of 14 episodes for this. With this scenario, it seems that Mr. Poopybutthole's statement about Season 3 is correct.
It can be remembered that Mr. Poopybutthole said in the Season 2 finale credits that Rick and Morty Season 3 release date will occur in March 2017. Although it seems to be a long wait, Adult Swim recently released a short animatic clip for the upcoming season.
The Season 3 animatic clip opened with Morty listening to Jessica talking to her friends about dating. Morty tried to butt into the conversation as he learned that Jessica is single. When Morty is about to say his first words Rick arrived from nowhere and snagged him away for an emergency.
Rick needs Morty's help and they have to set off on a new adventure on another planet. As Morty was pissed with missing conversation with Jessica he screamed that they've been going non-stop and that it is no longer healthy for his teenage life.
As for the first episode of Rick and Morty Season 3, it might pick up to where Season 2 has ended wherein Rick turned himself in to the Galactic Federation facility. Anticipation has it that Rick will be able to escape prison.
