'Doctor Who' Season 8 Spoilers: The Doctor & Company Officially Returning Amid 50th Anniversary Special, VIDEO
Exciting news for fans of the BBC hit show Doctor Who has come out, as the TV series will indeed be coming back for Season 8, following the recent ending of its last installment.
According to TVLine, the network has officially made the decision to order another batch of episodes of the popular show. The respective announcement was made on May 18th, which is when the program aired its Season 7 finale, The Name of the Doctor.
The site also stated that executive producer Steven Moffat has already begun planning a brand new run of adventures for The Doctor (Matt Smith). The franchise will also be celebrating Doctor Who's 50th anniversary on Nov. 23 with a 3D special, that will include Smith, Jenna Coleman, David Tennant, Billie Piper, John Hurt, Jemma Redgrave and Joanna Page.
To top it off, a special TV movie called An Adventure in Space going over the start of the series will be shown as well as its yearly Christmas special in December.
