Quite a ways away until its fall return for Season 4, AMC's The Walking Dead continues to build in anticipation as info on the upcoming installment surfaces.

The latest news on the zombie thriller addresses the future dynamic of the Governor (David Morrissey), and how he'll be used moving forward.

Comic book creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman had spoken to IGN about the villainous character's involvement in the series.

"Yeah, [The Governor] is still very much in the mix. That's certainly not the last that we'll see of him. When we see him again and where we see him again, that's the big question," he said.

Unlike in Season 3, Kirkman made it very clear that the Governor and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) wouldn't be directly facing off with one another, but the former would be utilized in a different manner.

It's not going to be like it was in Season 3; it's not going to be Rick and the Governor on a collision course with a conflict between them. He'll be used in very different ways next season."

The Walking Dead will be kicking off its fourth season on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8 p.m. Central on the AMC network.
