'Criminal Minds' Season 9 Spoilers: Recent Talent Commitments Indicate Series Will Go Ten Seasons? Details
After an exciting finish to Season 8, CBS has renewed its hit crime drama series Criminal Minds for a ninth season.
Showrunner Erica Messer is also set to be coming back on board to lead the creative helm. However, according to TVLine, there was reportedly some friction that took place from the likes of Kristen Vangsness (Penelope Garcia) and A.J. Cook (Jennifer Jareau), who teamed up to seek a bigger payout, closer to the range of their male co-stars.
While their respective monetary attempts weren't completely honored, they did receive considerable increases to their salaries.
Meanwhile, Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner), Joe Mantegna (David Rossi), Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan), along with Cook and Vangness are all now committed to two-year deals.
Since Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid) and Jeanne Tripplehorn (Alex Blake) weren't up to be renewed, there were no discrepancies to deal with.
Being that the respective talent obtained 2-year agreements, it appears as though the popular TV series will be going a 10th season as well, although the clarification has yet to be given.
CBS' Criminal Minds is set to kick off in the Fall of 2013. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on the TV series.
